CALM Therapy 🌿
More than a name - it’s the way I work. CALM comes from my initials, Cecily Alexandra Lyddon Mattock, and reflects the space I offer: gentle, grounded, and unhurried. Our therapy sessions together are about growth that happens naturally, at its own pace - not forced, not rushed. As a calm therapist, I bring steadiness, warmth, and deep listening into the room. I believe healing begins when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself. My approach is person-centred, meaning you are seen as the expert in your own life. Together, we explore your experiences with compassion, curiosity, and respect. You don’t need fixing. You need space, and calm is where change can begin.
I’m a therapist with both professional training and lived experience of mental health struggles such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and anxiety. Having navigated these challenges personally, I bring a deep empathy and practical understanding to my work. I know first-hand how frightening and isolating these struggles can feel, and I’m committed to offering therapy that is compassionate and grounded in real understanding.
My qualifications:
March 2024 – December 2025: DipHE (Level 5) in Humanistic Counselling
September 2022 – September 2023: Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body: Level 3 in Counselling
October 2021 – June 2022: Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body: Level 2 in Counselling
